What is whiplash?
Whiplash is an injury to the soft tissue of your neck that can occur in car wrecks, assault, falls, and intense activities such as playing sports. Basically, your neck is forced to move in a way that is beyond a normal range of motion, which can lead to pain, swelling, tenderness, headaches, and muscle spasms.
Unfortunately, there’s no instant cure for whiplash. Home remedies can include icing your injury, as well as taking anti-inflammatories and pain management medicines such as acetaminophen and ibuprofen. However, it is always good to seek the advice of a doctor for treating your injuries.
