A man was killed in a Harrisburg motorcycle accident Friday night.
According to officials with the Harrisburg Police Department, the motorcycle accident occurred shortly after 11:00 p.m. at the intersection of Greenwood Street and South 19th Street. Police say a 37 year-old motorcyclists was traveling west on Greenwood Street and failed to yield to oncoming traffic at a stop sign at the intersection of South 19th and was struck by a pickup truck.
According to the accident report, the 37 year-old motorcyclist sustained severe internal injuries in the crash. He was transported by ground ambulance to a Harrisburg Hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later. His name has not been released.
The motorcycle had been reported stolen in North Middleton Township last April, according to police. Investigators have not determined who stole the motorcycle, or who was at fault in the accident.
