A new study released by Quality Planning Corporation showsthat students are the group mostly to be involved in car accidents, whilefarmers were the least.
The California firm that verifies information in cooperationwith insurance companies found that students were more frequently involved incar accidents than anyone else. Second on the list were doctors, followed bylawyers, architects and real estate agents.
Farmers, though ranked as the safest drivers, came inseventh in the number of speeding tickets they received.
Company spokesman Tim Cox attributes the large amount ofstudent crashes to a lack of experience behind the wheel. The report showedthat for every 1,000 students there are about 152 car accidents and 87 speedingtickets per year. For doctors there were 109 car crashes and 44 speedingtickets per 1,000. For lawyers, 106 car accidents and 37 speeding tickets.
The other professions in the top ten were enlisted militarypersonnel, social workers, manual laborers, analysts, engineers andconsultants.
