Saturday morning, two Pennsylvania men were injured in a two-car accident in Lewis County, West Virginia.
According to Lewis County Sheriff’s Department officials, the accident occurred just before 9 AM on Saturday morning around the 104 mile marker on Interstate 79 south. Ralph Bennett of Avella, PA was driving his minivan with Earl Williams of Bentleyville, PA when one of the van’s tires blew. The minivan ran into the trailer of a tractor-trailer in the next lane and began to spin. Williams was thrown from the van through the passenger side window.
Both Williams and Bennett were taken to Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital. Williams was later transferred to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. No information was released on the men’s injuries or conditions.
Lewis County officials are investigating the accident.
