A woman was injured Friday in a Conewago Township car accident involving a Harrisburg State Police Trooper.
According to officials with the Pennsylvania State Police in Harrisburg, trooper Jeremy Baluh was approaching the intersection of Ridge Road and State Route 743 when he swerved to avoid a vehicle driven by 19 year-old Timothy Kanode, of Elizabethtown. Kanode was stopped on the road waiting to make a left turn, police say. Baluh’s squad car struck Kanode’s vehicle, pushing it into the path of another southbound car on S.R. 743.
The driver of the third car, 24 year-old Angela Jewell, was taken to Penn State Milton South Hershey Medical Center with non-life threatening injures, according to police. Kanode was treated at the scene.
Police say the accident remains under investigation. No charges have been filed against Baluh.
