A study released by Reader’s Digest lists the deadliest roads in America by state.
The study shows the states with the deadliest roads to be South Carolina, Montana, Louisiana, South Carolina, and West Virginia. The safest roads, according to the ranking system used by Reader’s Digest, are in the state of Massachusetts. Minnesota came in second followed by Rhode Island and New Jersey.
The magazine studied deficient bridges, fatalities on the roads, spending, congestion, road conditions, and safety to rank all of the states. The magazine even showed which states are the deadliest for DUI’s: South Carolina and Montana. The worst states for speeding are Alabama and Mississippi, according to the study.
