A woman sustained serious injuries to her spine and lungs in a Pennsylvania car accident early Tuesday morning.
The 39 year-old woman from Newton was driving a black Vauxhall Tigra on the A380 shortly after 12:00 a.m. Tuesday when the crash occurred. The Tigra left the road and smashed into a tree near the Buckland over-bridge.
Firefighters arrived at the scene of the crash and used hydraulic cutting equipment to free the woman, who was trapped in her vehicle.
The driver was treated for injuries on the scene before being transported to Torbay Hospital. Her condition is not known.
