Winter Weather Leading to More Accidents

Posted on December 17th, 2009 No Comments

The winter weather is responsible for an increase in recent car accidents.  Authorities and state officials have stated that the icy and winter weather has been responsible for an increase in rear end collisions and fender benders.  Although an increase in the number of accidents has been reported,  the seriousness of the accidents in general is not very high.

It is recommended during the winter weather to take the necessary steps to drive safely.  Attentive and slow driving will be important when driving conditions become poor because of weather.

A new study released by Quality Planning Corporation showsthat students are the group mostly to be involved in car accidents, whilefarmers were the least.

The California firm that verifies information in cooperationwith insurance companies found that students were more frequently involved incar accidents than anyone else. Second on the list were doctors, followed bylawyers, architects and real estate agents.

Farmers, though ranked as the safest drivers, came inseventh in the number of speeding tickets they received.
