At the start of the 4th of July weekend, four motorcycle crashes occurred in Dauphin and Lebanon Counties on Thursday night and Friday evening. There were two crashes in each county.

In each of the four crashes, there was one traffic fatality involved. Unfortunately, holiday weekends can cause people to put themselves in dangerous situations that can cause results like this.

An early morning crash occurred in Ducannon involving one car. Around 1:25am, the car was traveling northbound along Market St when it failed to negotiate a curve and hit an embankment. The car landed 60 feet away in a brushy area.

A man in the car was injured and was air lifted to Penn State Milton S Hershey Medical Center for treatment. Investigators do not yet know if he was the driver or a passenger in the vehicle.
